Guartelá Canyon State Park

 

The Guartelá State Park protects an area of ​​rich natural and archaeological heritage in the Iapó River canyon region.

Its main objective is to preserve ecosystems typical of the region, from places of exceptional scenic beauty, such as canyons and waterfalls; the speleological, archaeological and prehistoric heritage, especially the cave paintings; sources, springs and species of native fauna and flora; in addition to ordering the growing tourist flow to the area.

Visiting hours: Wednesday to Sunday and holidays, from 9 am to 4 pm (may stay until 6 pm)

Admission: free.

Tibagian Center Circuit

Owner of a peculiar charm, composed of buildings of eclectic style, the Centro Tibagiano Circuit offers several attractions.

 

The Des Historical Museum. Edmundo Mercer Jr., for example, houses a rich collection of more than 5,000 pieces divided into thematic rooms, such as the one about the diamond cycle. Ladeira da Nhá Cota is a park in the center of the city, where it is possible to contemplate one of the most beautiful landscapes of the Tibagi River.

 

The central squares are an invitation to the past, where tourists can walk and get to know important parts of the history of Campos Gerais. The Casa do Colono Museum is a cluster of memories with environments, customs and utensils from Grandma's time, located in Passo do Risseti.

 

Also on this circuit is the Casa da Cidade, a historic building where today the Department of Culture, the Municipal Theater and the Teatro da Lua are located.

Located 12 km from the city center, Circuito Barreiro offers attractions such as Salto Puxa Nervos, Salto Santa Rosa, Morro do Jacaré and Morro da Comuna. They are beautiful landscapes of the rural area of ​​the municipality, where you can find great waterfalls. Values ​​and visiting hours vary, and there are food options in the area. It is also possible to practice rappelling, cascading, horseback riding and gliding.

Barreiro Circuit - Saltos e Morros

 

The Guartelá Circuit includes the Guartelá State Park, the Recanto Ecológico da Dora, the Sítio Sete Quedas, the Sítio Aguaraguazu, Fazenda Guartelá, Salto da Cotia, Fenda do Nick and Fazenda Boa Vista. Next to the 6th. largest canyon in the world, these attractions focus on contemplation and rest. Waterfalls, waterfalls and trails make the Guartelá Circuit one of the favorite spots for tourists and visitors, which in addition to the nature rich in species and carefully preserved can count on the most beautiful sky in Campos Gerais. On the circuit is also the Olho d'Água São João Maria, where Monge João Maria passed.
